Off-grid cabins in Monmouthshire, on an 80-acre rewilding project

Two sustainably built tiny home cabins, tucked into wildflower meadows and ancient woodland on the Welsh border. Solar powered, wood-burner heated, and a short walk from the Grange Hub for hot showers, WiFi & a honesty bar. A quiet, properly off-grid alternative to log cabins with hot tubs, for guests who want to slow down, sleep deeply & wake up to bird song instead of traffic.

£100 to £130 per cabin per night depending on the night of the week, two-night minimum, so from £210 for two nights. April to October. Sleeps two. Close to the Wye Valley, Forest of Dean, Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) & Abergavenny.

Would you like to escape the trappings of the modern world and wake-up in the morning to one of the best views in South Wales, where only the birds are noisy? We have two beautiful and sustainably built 'tiny homes', carefully located in secluded locations across our 80 acre rewilding project.

If you can drag yourself away from the cabin, you'll be welcomed at the Grange Hub. Recently constructed, this beautiful space is at the centre of the rewilding project and is filled with comfortable corners to read a book, play a board game or just take in the view. You can also refresh with a rainfall shower, refuel using our kitchen, or relax with our honesty bar.

    Crafted with Care

Made from reclaimed and locally sourced materials, the cabins were built by local carpenter Simon Whitfield. The central feature is the king-sized bed, where you can sleep in beautifully soft linen sheets, immersed in the sounds of wilder nature. Keeping craft and localism in mind, the bespoke log burners, hand thrown crockery and beautifully woven soft furnishings all have a story to tell.

    How our cabins compare

We are not a log cabin park. Here is what you get & what you do not.

    What you get

    • True off-grid: 100% solar, no mains electricity, no road noise
    • Wood burner, king-sized bed, hand-thrown crockery, copper wash basin
    • 80 acres of active rewilding to wander & explore
    • Free-roaming pigs & cattle as your neighbours
    • Hot rainfall showers, kitchen & honesty bar at the Grange Hub
    • A direct connection to a working conservation project

    What you do not get

    • A hot tub or jacuzzi (local wild swimming spots and dark skies instead)
    • Mains power or a TV (solar lighting, a log burner and the night sky)
    • Dogs on site (our free-roaming pigs and cattle make this unsafe)
    • Child-friendly accommodation (each cabin is designed for 2 adults)
    • Parking at the cabin door (parking is at the Hub, with a 10-minute walk to the cabin)
