Off-grid cabin surrounded by wildflower meadow at the Grange Project in Wales

    Digital Detox Retreats

Disconnect to reconnect. Off-grid cabins in Wales with no WiFi, no TV, just nature, stillness, and space to breathe.

The average UK adult now spends over 3 hours a day on their phone, more time than watching TV. Our cabins offer something increasingly rare: genuine disconnection. No algorithms. No notifications. Just 80 acres of rewilding landscape, birdsong, and the luxury of being unreachable.

    Why Your Brain Needs This

    Mental Clarity

Studies show just 3 days offline reduces stress hormones and improves focus. The brain needs rest from constant notifications.

    Deeper Connection

Without screens competing for attention, couples and families reconnect. Conversations deepen. Presence returns.

    Better Sleep

Blue light disrupts melatonin. Natural darkness and quiet nights restore your circadian rhythm.

    Nature Immersion

Japanese forest bathing research proves time in nature lowers blood pressure and boosts immunity.

    Designed for Disconnection

Our cabins are intentionally off-grid. Every design choice encourages you to slow down, look up from the screen, and engage with the world around you.

    Frequently Asked Questions

    Is there really no WiFi?

Correct. The cabins have no WiFi or mobile signal. The Grange Hub (10-minute walk) has free WiFi if you need to check something urgent. Most guests find they don't use it.

    Can I charge my phone?

Yes, there is solar power for basic charging. We encourage guests to keep phones off or in airplane mode, but you are not completely cut off.

What if there is an emergency?

The Grange Hub has WiFi and the hosts are always reachable. You can also drive 5 minutes to get mobile signal. Safety is never compromised.

    What should I bring?

Books, journals, board games, walking boots, and an open mind. We provide cosy blankets, log burner fuel, and basic cooking supplies.

    Is this suitable for children?

Absolutely. Children often adapt faster than adults. Bring outdoor toys, nature guides, and enjoy quality family time.

How long should I stay for a proper digital detox?

Research suggests 3 days minimum to feel the full benefits of disconnection. We recommend a 3 to 5 night stay for the best experience. Many guests extend their booking once they arrive.
