A good away day takes a team somewhere they wouldn't normally go and gives them space to think differently. The Grange Hub sits in 80 acres of regenerating Welsh countryside near Abergavenny, set up for groups of up to 35 with full AV, on-site catering and as much or as little structured activity as you want.
Why The Grange for an Away Day
Most "venue with a difference" listings just mean a converted barn. The Grange is a live rewilding project, so the difference is real. Your team works inside a light, modern Hub with proper AV, then steps out into wood pasture, regenerating hedgerow and meadow with free-roaming pigs and native cattle. It's the kind of backdrop that changes the conversation.

Sample Day Formats
Days are built around what you actually need. Three formats teams come back to:
- Strategy day: morning workshop in the Hub, market garden lunch on the deck, afternoon walking session with structured prompts across the land.
- Team reset: short morning session, guided rewilding tour, lunch, then a nature connection workshop with Dr Chloe Constable in the afternoon.
- Hands-on day: brief context session, then half a day on the land planting trees, laying hedges or working on a habitat project, finishing with reflection over tea.
Activities & Add-Ons
Optional extras you can layer onto any day:
- Bespoke facilitation from Dr Chloe Constable (Clinical Psychologist & Systemic Psychotherapist)

Frequently Asked Questions
What makes The Grange a good away day venue?
Teams arrive into 80 acres of regenerating Welsh countryside rather than a beige meeting room. The Hub gives you a proper workshop space for up to 35, and the surrounding rewilding site gives you a backdrop for nature walks, foraging, conservation activities or simply better conversations on the deck.
How big a team can you host?
Up to 35 people workshop style in the Hub. For larger groups we can split the day between indoor sessions and outdoor activities on the land. Smaller groups of 6 to 12 are very welcome too.
What's included in an away day?
Venue hire of the Grange Hub, all AV equipment, tea, coffee and light refreshments throughout the day, covered decking and free parking. Lunch from our market garden is available from £10pp. Bespoke facilitation, guided rewilding tours and nature connection sessions can be added.
How do we get there from Bristol, Cardiff or London?
Roughly 45 minutes from Bristol, 1 hour from Cardiff and 30 minutes from Newport by car. By train, Abergavenny station is about 25 minutes away with direct services from London Paddington in around 2h 30. We can help with taxi arrangements for the final leg.
Can you organise team building activities?
Yes, through our partner Wilder Away Days. Options include guided rewilding tours, tree planting, foraging walks, nature connection sessions facilitated by Dr Chloe Constable (Clinical Psychologist) and longer wellbeing-led programmes.
What does an away day cost?
It depends on group size, day of week, half or full day, and which extras you choose. Get in touch with your dates and rough numbers and we'll send a tailored quote. Reduced rates apply for charities and non-profits.
